Tomales Point Hike, Jan 2014

Ive been wanting to make it out to explore the northern tip of Point Reyes National Seashore for a while, so on Sunday i drove out and did just that. Its a 4.7 mile hike one way to the point over rolling low hills, of shrub and grass. There are spectacular views along the whole trail, alternating from crashing waves (the swell was fairly large) to views of Dillon across the other side of Tomales Bay. Right where the parking lot is there is the remains of a dairy farm which had been established around the 1880s. The National Park Service has done a good job of restoring and looking after these buildings.
