Hetzel History Update.

Keeping track of the Hetzel history, specifically Victor Leopold Hetzel and his photographic career in El Centro from March 1915 until his death in 1949.

I stumbled upon a rather insightful article here that tells his whole story.

The purpose made photo studio (Hetzel and family lived in the building as it was designed with a studio and living area) was inhabited by another photographer after Leo, who was a fellow by the name of Douglas Bliven, until Douglas’s death in 2002.

Hetzels first studio in El Centro after moving out from Los Angeles.

Hetzel's second and final studio and home in El Centro, California.

Great Grandpa Hetzel. Little did he know that he would start several generations of photographers in the Hetzel family.
