Under the feet of many.

Baphuon, Angok Thom, Cambodia, April 2011.

Taking shelter. This is an interesting one. This bridge leads across a depression from the main road area to this large temple called Baphuon. After wandering around the temple for a while, not feeling too inspired due to flat light and general crumbly appearance, I felt the need to get out of the sun for a bit and find somewhere quite and away from the masses.Funnily enough the place I ended up is somewhere most people walk right by, or above without realizing. These are the columns that hold up that walk way that so many a visitor uses to access this site. I took refuge from the sun here for a while, snapping a few shots and enjoying the shade.

Sometimes its a good idea to get off the beaten path a little and sit still for a bit.
