Just buy good glass…

Recently shot the Nikkor 28mm f/2.8 manual focus lens. I was shocked at its sharpness and clarity. Reminded me why good glass is well and truely worth the investment. Your images will take on a life of their own. Honestly. Truely. Crazy stuff.

Now this wasnt an exact comparison as they are different focal lengths and different apertures. Also I shot one wide open (28mm) and stopped the other down to its best (20mm: f/8) but even with this handy cap the 28mm stood out as a real performer.

Note the sharpening that these images have received occurred in flickr. Its a little noticeable but non the less the results still stand out.
